August Update: Sorry for the Wait


Hi there everyone! Welcome to the first major update for Hell's Asylum for August!

This update sees major changes in the frontend and backend of the game 

Major Changes:

  • Save/Load screen now generates and enables slots within code
    • Autosaves will be on the top of the list, followed by manual saves
    • The details panel also updates based on the save that is being hovered over by mouse
      • Known issue: Buttons are hard to interact with, this will be fixed in later patch
  • HUD is fully enabled in combat then hidden when outside of combat, for a more immersive experience
    • Options to toggle what is visible in/out of combat coming soon
  • Collectibles are hidden in certain maps
    • Meant for unlockables, shop purchases, etc
    • More info coming soon
  • Weapon upgrades are available again
    • Store still needs to be reimplemented
      • You can demo the upgrades in the Debug Menu (Insert Key)
  • Lock on camera rotation has been resolved temporarily 
    • A more permanent fix is in the works
  • A level select screen has been added to the Campaign menu

I do want to apologize for the delay, a lot of IRL stuff has prevented me from work on the project, but I'm happy to make this new build available for you all!
