March Update #1: BTS Improvements!
Hi there everyone! Welcome to the first major update for Hell's Asylum for March!
This first updates brings Windows and Linux up to date as well as under the hood improvements to the game.
Major Changes:
- Saves now hold weapon stats data as well as player location within a level
- Arcade score are now saved within save data
- Save data is searched for, found and loaded on start
- Player weapons now use structs to contain weapon data
- Weapon stats have been changed and the game has become easier/harder as a result
- New animations have been added for dashing
- A new console has been implemented for cheats in game
I do recommend that you delete your saves if they exist, I am unsure whether or not simply overwriting the files will ensure compatibility/stability. Feel free to send me a message if you need help finding where to go if deleting within the game doesn't work.
As I mentioned, the stats for weapons within the game have been changed while I was testing the new struct container. If you feel that a certain section of gameplay is too easy or too difficult, do let me know. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
If you'd like to support this project, then please consider donating here on itch or on Patreon where I post screenshots of what I'm working on throughout the week along with other kinds of sneak peeks. Your feedback and support are always appreciated!
As always, stay tuned!
